As part of her master's project on magnoliid floral evolution, Laetitia Carrive is now visiting our colleagues at the University of Vienna (Jürg Schönenberger and Yannick Staedler) to scan flowers using micro-computerized tomography. One of the goals of project MAGNIPHY is to obtain 3D reconstructions and virtual sections for the same flowers that are currently being sequenced via RNA-Seq.
